I don’t know what this is referring to but it gave me a little chuckle. Why you wonder?? The reason being I have read several books by Gerald Durrell. In these books he talks about his teenaged sister worrying about her ‘spots’, which are pimples. I guess you have to read it to chuckle.

Oh, that betrayal! It too will pass . . . .
I remember that – so glad I’m not a teenager nowadays!
I remember what a catastrophe that once seemed. Smiles.
This brings back memories! As a teenager and into early twenties, at that time of the month, a large angry spot would grow in the middle of my forehead, looking as if I had been shot.
But that was many many moons ago…
