pipes a mournful song.

  1. Such vivid words, “pipes a mournful song”. Spring cannot come too soon! Have a wonderful weekend1

  2. A beautiful blend of photography and poetry. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Lisa at Greenbow

Hiding from you, showing his mate that it is a good place to nest since you couldn’t find him and she can. 🙂

  4. Lovely haiku ~ I hear a sweet cooing calling for a mate ~

    Happy Weekend to you,

  5. Those notes of song are bread crumbs to her heart…

  6. That mournful song turns into happy ‘coo’s’ when sunlight finds the hidden dove.

  7. It is definitely dove season. They are hooting in early a.m. here.

  8. A classic desert scene. Looks like a Palo Verde and a smoke tree.

  9. The desert is such a beautiful place. I’m reading “Thru Hiking Will Kill You” by Carrot Quinn right now. It’s about a woman who hiked through the California desert on the Pacific Crest Trail. I sounds like a brutal section to pass in any season. – Margy

  10. this haiku mirrors my winter-thank goodness spring comes with redemption and new life!

  11. in hiding is right! looked and looked! Have a lovely evening.

  12. That is absolutely lovely-on both counts!
