Let Us Praise
Let us praise the raven and the rain.
Let us praise the singer and the song.
Let us praise the Cloud Spirit,
leading us to other roads
when our path is hedged and blocked
by creatures sinister and sleek.
Let us praise the river stones
whose dignity remains intact,
despite the ravages of floods and drought.
Let us praise all things great and small,
for the hundred-thousand ways
our days are measured out.

Yes, let us all remember to do this!
Your poetry often touches my soul in a way that only beautiful word pictures can. We share a love of words and exceptional learners. (I’m also a special ed. teacher.) I would love to share this poem on my blog sometime if I may have your permission. Of course I would give you credit and link to your blog. Thanks for considering my request.
I love the praise you sing. I feel that when it comes to nature we can always find the things that touch us.
A wonderful poem!!!
Love this especially; “Let us praise the river stones
whose dignity remains intact.” 💜
A song, a prayer….one we should all recite daily!
My favourite of your poems. I drank in every beautiful word.
Thanks, Sherry. It’s my favorite too. However, both you and I know that a “new favorite” will come along sometime. 🙂

An inspiring poem!
A beautiful prayer/poem.
Inspiring poem!
It is so much more satifying to love and praise everything in our world that to hate it because it is different from us. There is beauty everywhere and so much to love we really should have smiles on our faces for being so lucky.
Yes, yes, yes!
Praise is fitting indeed
much love…
I like the message in this poem. We must praise all that there is, as it is ALL that is. And our days are definitely numbered!
Praise for talents such as yours.
Thank you, Janice.
