Why Are You Running?

Why are you running? What do you fear?
Is a great evil now drawing near?

Why do you look back, and not ahead?
Is it because of something you dread?

What is that something? Has it a name?
Is it a wild thing, or is it tame?

See its wild sprinting! Feel its hot breath!
It does have a name; its name is Death!

Why bother running, running so fast?
Death will catch up to us all at last.

  4. Cant run fast enough to evade its grip. Good one!

  5. I like this. So true, what we fear most and try to run from is death. Makes me think of people I know who follow every new food/medicinal fad. But I guess we do all run, if we can.

  6. So true. Guess what we need to do is enjoy the race.
