  1. I wouldn’t say “stilled”, rather moved on to another level of existence, which his impact is felt locally and internationally. Although, the transitional period can and will be painful.

  2. I agree with Therisa, but also like the tree analogy. Yet there must have been a tremendous crash when this old tree fell.

      I guess I’ll have to rethink, refashion, revise this haiku. Meanwhile, it stands.

  4. Forever stilled hits home for me…….a person gone, silenced, here no longer……a resonant image, the great tree, falling. Sigh. I loved this.

  5. Perhaps the last line should be “Always remembered” or “Never forgotten”.

  6. I like “forever stilled”. Yeah, stilled. Can’t see anyone of his like.
