In the Balance

In the balance place your cup.
With great care then fill it up.
It will hold gold, salt, or tea—
It could even hold all three!
Top it with a sparrow’s song.
Fill your cup—don’t wait too long!

  2. No better way of living ones life than to the fullest…but make sure the sparrow is facing inwards not outwards if it is on the cup’s brim.

  4. I love the filling and the topping!

  5. Mind you, only the tea (herbal please) is drinkable, but the other two can hold one’s imagination for various reasons.

  6. Tea with a sparrow’s song – oh that sounds perfect. A bird found its way into my poem too. Smiles.
