I thought that I could balance a feather on a rock,
But though I tried it often, the feather ran amok,
And went wherever feathers go when feathers go astray—
But I have yet to give up hope that I’ll succeed one day.

  5. Try it the other way round and balance the rock on a feather…it’s much easier isn’t it?

  6. I love both ‘feather’ and ‘rock’ literally & also the flight with hope. Inspiring.

  7. Feathers and rocks, this has to be a propasal for contemplation
