Flora and Fauna
There are pigeons, pugs and camels, there are lions in the park.
There are hundreds of strange animals, and one of them’s the snark.
There are insect-eating flowers, and fruit trees with weird fruit,
There are creatures of the ocean near the Italian boot.
If you take a look around you, wherever you may be,
I think you’ll be astounded by the great diversity!

Yes, I remember those beautiful days, sadly we are killing everything of in our stupidity.
Absolutely… though that number diminishes every day.
Thank god you wrote them in the present tense. This makes the poem so positive.
I love this so much! I love the juxtaposition of all those critters! Especially pigeons, pugs and camels.
Perfect! I love the rhyme, flow and message in this!!
The rhyme adds a lightness to this. Oh my yes! All the diversity on our earth.
This could be the opening salvo of a mighty fine children’s book on biodiversity.
Lovely!
Beautiful…This brings a smile on my face.
Wonderful!
Our world thrives by its diversity.
