A retired tractor lives out its last days in the tranquility of the Robert J. Moody Demonstration Garden, Yuma, Arizona.

An old green tractor
becomes a shadowy stage
for spring’s danse macabre.

  1. An entirely different type of spring green here… and a dance we all must take, regardless of being a wallflower or not…

  2. Cool old tractor. That’s quite a steering mechanism!

  3. Wonderful shadow shot with the tractor ~ and delightful haiku ^_^

    Happy Day to you,

    aka (A Creative Harbor)

  4. i love shadows and light…and an old deere !

  5. Nice steering design

  6. I always love to ‘find’ old machinery like that – in older days I found things like that in nature when my brother and I explored the surroundings while on vacation in France… France farmers ‘parked’ old cars and tractors in woods and let them rest/rust there… and us, kids, played on them machines… I hope there is no more ‘machine dumping’ in those woods now, but the memory is a good one – thanks to your haiku. Have a great weekend, love from Holland.

  7. Lisa at Greenbow

This old tractor evokes memories of me driving one of those old three wheeled tractors.

  8. ah time to rest, sure it was once a dynamic working machine. Happy Sunday

    much love…

  9. There is a museum in Nebraska that has multiple buildings the size of football stadiums filled to the brim with old farming implements, tractors and machinery. More than a one day’s worth of old equipment.

If only it could talk, such memories it would have.
