On Guard


A person who’s never on guard
Will never become a good bard,
For poets have eyes
That see beyond lies;
They stick to the truth—and that’s hard!

  1. So says the bard herself – which is true indeed!

  2. I’m feeling a bit guilty now as I don’t always tell the truth when writing poetry…well never in fact;, but don’t tell anyone else will you?
