Ditty on the Cusp of October

Tenth Month comes, and none too soon;
Ninth Month shrivels like a prune.
Of the “-ber months” I can say:
Oct’s the best in every way!

  1. It’s my favorite too! I like your shortening October to Oct’. Cute poem.

  2. Bravo a really cheerful rhyme
    Happy Wednesday
    Stay safe

  3. Yes, it is!

I could totally skip to this one.

  4. Octo rocks, alright! It’s raining leaves here; bare limbs soon…too soon.

  5. Down under October has warm promises for us Aussies coming out of winter but still wary of her wet kisses…she is such a flirt!

  6. I agree with you, Ron, all the way. Beginning with the crisp weather teases October brings a new, fresh outlook.

  7. You gave me a smile and a chuckle, and a lasting feel-good.

  8. Leaves of gold, orange and red
fill the canopy above your head
By the end of month they will be on the ground
for November winds to blow around..

  9. Margaret Elizabeth Bednar

    I agree!

  10. Beverly Crawford

I never thought of it that way, but I totally agree. The oher ber months can be much more ber than I prefer! Fun write.

  11. This fun poem made me smile. 🙂
