I See You

I see you, but wish I did not;
Your presence is like a dark blot
That can’t be scrubbed out.
(Of that there’s no doubt.)
I’m stuck with you—that is my lot.

  1. How subversive you are, lol! I like your unexpected take on the prompt line.

  2. Bwahahaha! I know a few people like that. And I really like your take on the prompt.

  3. Hmmm. Intetesting and humbling

    Happy Wednesday

  4. I like it, even if I disagree with the narrator’s view. No one’s really “stuck” with anyone, even relatives can be cut off!

  5. Nice limerick, M.T, I need to write a few of them, it’s been a long time.
    This reminds me of “Stuck in the Middle with You” (Clowns to the left
    of me, jokers to the left … ) song with Dylan singing it, one of my favorites.

  6. Beverly Crawford

    Well, I’m sure many of us can identify with this in-your-face bold statement! Everyone seems to come in contact with a blot now and then!
