Delicate Letters

1.
My ribs are branches
on which invisible birds
perch on winter nights.

2.
Enter, acrobats!
Begin your parade through town,
though the north wind moans.

3.
I lower my eyes
when I see the light in yours,
Sister Winter Moon.

  1. My ribs are branches
    on which invisible birds
    perch on winter nights

this speaks to me so deeply. i can “see” it, feel it, breathe it!

  2. I thought of those acrobats jumping about on my ribs! Not quite the light fluttering of birds.

  3. The first haiku – like Rebecca: I can see it… really wonderful! Have a great weekend dear! Hug from Holland.

  4. The lowering of eyes … a nice way to express respect, perhaps shyness, at moon’s wonder.

  5. Arnaud Carbonnier

I do like these 3 haikus.
