Delicate Letters
1.
My ribs are branches
on which invisible birds
perch on winter nights.
2.
Enter, acrobats!
Begin your parade through town,
though the north wind moans.
3.
I lower my eyes
when I see the light in yours,
Sister Winter Moon.

My ribs are branches
on which invisible birds
perch on winter nights
this speaks to me so deeply. i can “see” it, feel it, breathe it!
Each one a gem!
I thought of those acrobats jumping about on my ribs! Not quite the light fluttering of birds.
The first haiku – like Rebecca: I can see it… really wonderful! Have a great weekend dear! Hug from Holland.
The lowering of eyes … a nice way to express respect, perhaps shyness, at moon’s wonder.
I do like these 3 haikus.
