Haiku My Heart, Stone Wall
It is an old tale—
you build a stone wall, and moss
nibbles the mortar.

Mellow Yellow Monday: Round the Bend
Round the bend a puma lurks,
Licks his chops and smiles and smirks,
Knowing that his next warm meals
Will arrive on eighteen wheels.
He imagines crunch of bone,
Hears the hapless wail and moan;
Yet he cares not e’en a whit
That his victims will be bit
And disposed of one by one
Long before the day is done—
Sanguine, tasty banqueting
Fit for beast, but not for king.
Round the bend a puma lurks,
Licks his chops and smiles and smirks.
Gleefully he rubs his gut,
Waiting for, well, you know what.

Is not this the One
who offered Himself for all?
