You can’t go from here to there with a tire that’s flat,
So stay home and read a book, wearing your straw hat!
If your hat’s worn out and crushed, throw the thing away!
Find a new one, put it on—read some more, I say!
Reading is the antidote to a tire that’s flat—
Reading books and milking goats, wearing your straw hat!
