Sheep, You Give Us Joy

Photobucket

Sheep, you give us joy!
As you share your wool and flesh,
we are warm and full.

We are warm and full—
no winter winds can slay us,
clad and fed by you.

Clad and fed by you,
who needs any other wealth?
Sheep, you give us joy!

It Gives Me Great Joy

Photobucket

It gives me great joy
to share my blanket with you—
now my heart is full.

Now my heart is full,
for tonight you will be warm,
wrapped in my blanket.

Wrapped in my blanket,
you will snuggle with the stars—
it gives me great joy.

Ruby Tuesday: Sunset

She painted sunsets—
simple little things that seemed
to shiver with joy.

Shadow Shot Sunday: Bunny

Bunny trembling in the shade,
Aren’t you glad that you were made
With such zigzags to your speed
That when pumas come to feed
You can simply dart away
And enjoy another day?
