Shaded by blossoms,
a clean and refreshing way
opens before her.

fleshy old woman
seeking the shade of blossoms
in the noonday heat

~~ ~~ ~~

Candent noonday sun—

or their cooling shade.

Scrutinize each line
of Pound or Poe or Whitman
for hidden treasures.
