Three Rivers Daily Photo
The entire week I was on Vancouver Island, I saw the sun exactly one day. The rest of the time it was gloomy and overcast–or “pearly grey,” to use your phrase. I feared for the quality of the photos, but I shouldn’t have. Those grey days lend an aura of mystery, and even calmness, to the scenes I photographed.

The calm waters reflect the shadows of the boat mast as the stand like sentinels. Lovely scene.

Linnea, thank you for stopping by. As far as the grey sky goes…I was really disappointed the day I took the photo. “Couldn’t we have just an hour’s worth of sun?” I thought. But when I saw how mysterious the photo looked, I was glad for the grey! And you are welcome for the haiku. I enjoyed writing it!
