The interior is resplendent of a fine wood, so rather dark. Yet the lumber creates shadows when te door is opened and aided by the Sonoran sun, Beautiful!
Nice, reflective ShadowShot Sylvia. I’ve always liked this old mission.
I love the way the tree is framed in the door, like it is looking inside.
What a creative shot – i like it!
pure beauty…great, stylish shot…
this is a beautifully atmospheric shot – who could resist entering this archway??
I think all the others have said everything that I might have said!!
Such a lovely composition and dark shadow!
Let there be light. 😉

Beautiful shot. And the words are perfect 🙂
Amen to that, amen, I say.
Very nice-are they done with the repairs and scaffolding?
Alas, no, the repairs aren’t done. The area behind the altar is all shrouded in scaffolding. 😦
Wow, mystical photo and words. Just beautiful.
Exquisite.

Wonderful haiku that accompanies this photo!
Gotta tell ya, I’m still chuckling from your critter poem…just got home from work and you brought a smile(and a laugh)to my afternoon!!!

This looks like a beautiful building in which to sit and reflect.
Wonderful Haiku, MMT. Enjoy the weekend.
What a beautiful shot for the theme, it looks like a painting hanging on the wall.
Hanover Park shadows.
That is beautiful, love the way the tree is captured in the doorway.
Lovely. The poem blessed me.
Thank you for coming by; I don’t like to think of winter, but it is coming none the less!
Through the deep shadows,
A glimpse of what lies beyond:
Is it paradise?
BTW – you would be right – skinks are lizards.
Cheers!
