  1. one thing is certain
    mariachis always bless
    those within earshot

  2. Beautiful details in this photo and beautiful haiku, too.

    Regards and best wishes

  3. Blue edging into the bottom corner–it’s so shy!

  4. Wonderful atelier, I’d love to sit in a corner and just watch the artist work on “faces
for signs that fate has blessed them”.
I’ll try to remember that expression next time I see my weatherbeaten face in the mirror.

  5. I like how their faces are missing from the painting – we can instead enjoy the music they play. Perhaps in my imagination anyway…

  6. A great artist! Love it.

  7. Your painting and the mariachi music I hear from memory gives me a big smile today.

  8. Cool, I like the combination of mariachis and fate. Reminds me of growing up in LA and the movie El Mariachi 😉

  9. Love the photo and the haiku…those faces look pretty blank…it will take some time to figure out if they have been blessed 🙂

  10. It makes me think the artist was interrupted for fiesta time!

  11. Love the shadows in this!
Oh, to be an artist. (sigh)

  12. The art implies that it is the character of their music that matters! Delightful photo and haiku!

  13. I too would love to watch the artist

  14. Love your haiku and your chosen painting ~ We are all blessed in some way ~ as to “Fate’ ~ we always have a ‘choice’ ~ To ‘not choose’ is to choose ~ Have a wonderful day ~ namaste, Carol ^_^

  15. Interesting place, an art gallery in a winery. Looks like a work in progress of the picture behind on the wall. Let’s hope they are blessed even though faceless. Thought provoking perfect haiku.
