  1. i did not think i would ever find a favorite within your haiku for they all speak straight to my heart. but, the image you create with your perfect words nourishes me in a deep, soul stirring way! thank you for each haiku you offer so generously through out the year, each one a perfect sacrament of light.

  2. Sometimes that is enough! That and a visit here to see what you are doing with 17 syllables today! May your heart and your bowl be filled with heaven’s light today and always!

  3. bowl of heaven’s light —- just beautiful

  4. Breakfast before dawn. Magical.

  5. Awesome MMT, I love the way you have been inspired by the haiku I gave by Buson.

  6. Beautiful, fascinating image that demands taking time to be involved in the perspective!

  7. Thanks for sharing your blue.
Happy Blue Monday, and Merry Christmas!

  8. Bowl of heaven’s light…, wow, the monk has chosen the best dish, wonderful spiritual haiku.
    Merry Christmas!
    🙂

  9. What an unusual photo. Makes one look twice…then three times. Happy Holidays to you.

  10. This beautiful view may be stark to some – yet the mere decoration on the ceiling adds a bit of celebration but that window sits unadorned. Making it a perfect for the monk to look upward to heaven. It is a nice room for worship…merry Christmas!

  11. Enjoyed your take on the prompt…and the photo is inspiring.
Merry Christmas. Wishing you Peace and Joy in the coming year.

  12. I have to say I agree with everyone here..]
…have been away, writing over at dversepoets.com and stepped away from haikus for awhile and now catching up some…..
    Happy Holidays! Feliz Ano Nuevo
