  1. Very interesting!

  2. Humans can be so barbaric. We should all hang our heads.

  3. Gargoyle collectors, I’ll bet.
We finally are home, was gone cruising and U.K. visiting. From April 15 and home May 31. That included two nights in Key West.

  4. Wow! I’m glad I didn’t see them.

I’m sure it was a grisly sight!

  5. Definitely a severe and somber warning!

  6. That is a warning I would have heeded!

  7. Oh my goodness. Take this warning, indeed.

  8. Nothing like Mt. Rushmore,eh? 😉

  9. How human beings can do this to one another is mind boggling. As Elizabeth Kubler-Ross says, there’s a Hitler within all of us and a Mother Teresa in all of us. We choose.

  10. Oh boy…and what is happening right now in Ukraine, Syria etc. so, so sad…and thousands of immigrants are sailing and rescued by Red Cross etc. near an island in Italy….this weekend only about 2.500 people, kids too…

  11. Oh gosh what a sad piece of history. Important to remember it all though.

  12. The building is magnificent, but its history is scary.

  13. The shade and shadows are quite ominous – a stout building that holds an even darker past. A place where the mere hope for freedom was quashed…with a warning to all. Sad – freedom is truly not free at all…

  14. So glad you are still at this venture. You add so much to the blogosphere! Are you done teaching for the summer? We finish this week and WE ARE READY!

  15. I like Paula’s thought…I take comfort in knowing that we can choose. the four heads, I’m sure, made many people make the right choices.

  16. we love Guanajuato! Thanks for the history lesson and stallar shot! y

  17. I think I see a face in the shadow!

  18. A gruesome history, but yet the building facade staunchly offers a grand sense of beauty.

  19. 10 years! A dastard act!

It was a bit excessive, wasn’t it?
