  1. Love the picture…very cool.

  2. Wrought iron and tempered glass as descriptors sound bland. However, the artistic architect has blended them into a cityscape island from Seattle rains. Such urban style!

  3. Needless to say I recognized this shadow shot!! And miracle of miracles you caught blue skies! Marvelous capture for the day! Enjoy your weekend!

  4. Interesting shot.

  5. Ah, yes! Most certainly a refuge from the pigeons!!! Love the arches…

  6. What a lovely shadow and a very practical place..Pigeons can be a little bit of a problem, when overhead..Course when they have christened me, I was always told it was “good luck”…not sure about that…
    Happy SSS.

  7. If I had to shelter from the pigeons, this is where I would choose to be, under this beautiful structure.

  8. Cool perspective on this refuge from pigeons and their p**p

thanks for the Haiku describing my photos!

    Wrought iron arches
    keep us protected
    from weather and nature.

  9. I love that…’and pigeons’…they can be pesky lil’ poopers, but what would a pergola be without them… I so want one in my yard…just a small one to dream from…right!
    Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. Well, you made me smile. :))

  11. Love the haiku! You certainly need a refuge from some of those penguins. Great shadow shot!

  12. Enjoyed the wry humour in the last line of your senryu! A beautiful look pergola!

  15. LOL those pigeons! That pergola looks nice.

  16. SSS greetings from rainy and cold (+10 C) Helsinki, Finland!
It looks you have much better weather over there…
One more week to go and then back to Casablanca.
Have a great day and good week ahead!

  17. …and pigeons! Fabulous!
As well as that gorgeous pergola – love the angles, iron & glass….wouldn’t that be wonderful to have in your back yard? Maybe a little too fancy for the back of a house, but lovely all the same!

  18. A graceful place to pass time – and cool when the sun shines, too, isn’t it?

  19. ctmott: i’ve heard that too!!
