    Ah yes, there is a lovely piece (piano) by André Gagnon of the St-Lawrence seaway flowing into the ocean…this lovely ku reminds me of this. I must find it.

    Areuse River ran next to the monastery where I lived and worked, with a side channel right through the monastery that flowed UNDER a chapel and then went underground. Now that I read your poem, I realize that there we had both the river and the sisters singing plainsong.
