  1. It’s almost wilting weather here too – about 25 degrees C /77 degrees F.

  2. Weather has been so weird.

  3. A little bit of shade fails to cool the surroundings much. Keep the umbrella handy so as to not melt in the Sonoran sun…

  4. A big stone collect a big heat… and breath it during the night –

  5. Paula Scott Molokai Girl Studio

A wilting umbrella?!? Oh, dear! Stay cool in the shade and hydrated! Love the rock.

  6. Love your photo ….so perfect for SSS

  7. Poor brolly! We never hit those heights here 🙂 I like the Carpe Diem site too. Never enough time to visit everyone.

    • Restless Jo … Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is also meant for you … visit us, feel free to participate.

      • Thank you! I found myself composing haiku in my head as I walked through the park to go to zumba yesterday. I enjoy playing with words, but I struggle to fit everything in (both in the blog and in the ‘real world’ 🙂 ) The intentions are good 🙂

  8. What a beautiful sight! Must be nice to stop there for a while when you are out for a walk.

  9. it surely has! whew!

  10. Wow. The heat and glare is so evident in this scene. Even the shadows seem bright.

  11. An awesome response mmt … another great scene caugt in haiku and image … chapeau!

  13. Snakypoet (Rosemary Nissen-Wade)

Better than the cold, for sure.

  14. Nice poem! And yes, it’s been positively wilt-y lately.

  15. What a great haiku, MMT, wilting umbrella, how perfect! It sounds like you are into very uncomfortable heat. It has just dropped more than 20 degrees here 14C (57F) I was shocked when I got up but with the rain, feels more like April showers today. Wish some of this rain could go West

  16. The shadows are making the rock into a face of a large animal…hippo? He’s chewing the greens. I love it.

  17. lovely! Here in WPA we’re getting rain, rain, and more rain.

The rock seems to be taking a bite out of that tree!
