It seems so shadowy on earth, a darkness settling in. Yet as the steeple is closer to heaven, a bright divine light radiates. Sacred and spiritual this picture is!
Such a beautiful combination of light and dark, of shadows and sunlight — like life itself! Wonderful capture, superb composition and beautiful words! Have a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful Haiku to match the wonderful moment captured.
what a beautiful building – architectural shots are some of my favourites..
Inspiring! We’ve not spent time in Phoenix — thanks for sharing.
What a lovely building!
This is lovely.

Very nice shot 🙂
what a lovely photo, I like the angle you’ve used in the photo too
The composition of this photo is so wonderful – it reaches from darkness to light, is framed by the tree, and the angle emphasizes the importance and hopefulness of the building. Great photo!
How is it we managed to talk about the same thing again…light…I love old churches and the textures of the stone, but my fave is the clapboard of the Midwest, all weathered and worn and normally in decay…sigh!
This cameo view shivers with light and beauty! And great complementing haiku!
Interesting contrast of dark and the light, with the deep blue sky above. Wonderful composition, MMT, and accompanying text.
Second time I visited you in one day!| wow
The idea of people leaving shadows here is very cool. You always make me think.
gorgeous indeed !
Beautiful shot. i love the angles and shadows we get from churches.

ah…majestic building showered in shadow and light…
What a beautiful shot and haiku! Love the angle of the shot as well as the shadow.
The architecture of the southwest is always draws me in, perhaps because it seems so diffrent from what I see here, I’d like to be there to leave my shadow. 🙂
Very lovely shot! It has such a peaceful feeling about it.
Majestic and beautiful! Did you know Australia has a Saint now? Our very own Saint Mary Mackillop!
Perfect words to accompany your photo.
