  1. Very nice. There’s a real feeling of desolation in this shot.

  2. Marvelous shadow shot and you do indeed get the feeling of desolation! Lovely words/thoughts as always! Hope you have a beautiful day and a lovely weekend!

  3. Calm & nice. That’s perfect combination of healing for me.

TY for always sharing those wonderful places.

    Happy SS, Maam…

  4. wow what a strong structure to this shot – very architectural and really cool!!

  5. Strong and beautiful shadows.

  6. a window looking in…seeing all that went before…

  7. This is just a fabulous shadow shot!!

  8. The shadows of this adobe and stucco are beautiful. Alas, the beauty exists due to the absence of a roof. The walls were built to stand in the desert and are strong – deserving of a roof I’d say

  9. Gorgeous shot, the shadows are wonderful.

  10. Light, the bringer of hope . . . all things crumble to dust eventually, only the light remains. . .

  11. Love the idea of light as a healer! There is a heavy silence in this place and light seems to subdue the shadows there!

  12. that looks like a hot place

  13. As always, a great shot and haiku. I like what Gemma says, the light as a healer. For me, the healing would be on the drive to the Southwest where I could find such architecture and sunshine, and then continue while down there wandering the desert.
    Good image.
    Peace.

  14. PS Nice look with the new format.

  15. I like this! The photo makes me feel warm inside so I’m sure the light is healing.

  16. loving these shadows in what must certainly be an ancient place…and the light…WOW!

  17. I would dearly love to have an old relic like that on my property, to sit in and dream in, in the light of the miracle of each new dawn…thanks for the haiku, it was inspirational as always.

Have a wonderful Sunday, we have rain here in Iowa!

  18. Love the poetry.

    Come into the light…

This peaceful photo looks like it could have been taken in the Holy Land.

  19. Beautiful shot, beautiful words.

  20. Very Nice – where is it taken?
