Lonely Sentinel
Lonely sentinel,
guarding grass and tree and stone,
creatures far and nigh.

Oh, the old fence post. I wonder what stories it could tell about life, wildlife and lovers.
Love the pictures.
i love this idea that there are sentinels every where…sacred and ordinary…yet all devoted to love.
well..again..its beautiful.. keep creating magic..
Love it, picture and poem!
Have you been to the countryside this week?? Love your shots!
Such pretty greens and blues!
And standing there longer and more steadfast than most
Thanks so much for visiting! I love old posts. We have an old-style fence we had built. Lots of fun.
An old fence post with old bailing wire… remains to guard the meadow and all of nature. He is lonely but steadfast. This is a great statement about character.
This is a proud post for lonely sentinel ~ most endearing!

tall and proud and solitary – It should have some otherworldly significance.
