Very well played! Love the idea of origami war and reams of battle
That is really cool!
Now that is a masterful haiku – both in concept and execution. Right on the money (paper money of course)
Is it an accident that your war is 500 while a dying girl gave the 1000 paper cranes for peace story international top billing! Very clever!
Oh, I’m not THAT clever, Gemma! A ream of paper is 500 sheets, that’s all. Rather pedestrian, I’m afraid.
Interesting take on the prompt! Liked it 😀
Only halfway 🙂 1000 cranes is needed
lovely!
This left me wondering how they would fight the war… folding cranes or just hit each other with the ream of paper. 😉
Ah, yes, I hadn’t thought of that!
Or they could through the canes at one another. It just occurred to me that you probably you meant a peaceful race to the end of the 500 sheets.
Clever take on the prompt. The idea of a war with paper and not gun is very refreshing 🙂
Well I hope this doesn’t have some deep protest against war hidden in it because it made me laugh out loud at the idea of an origami war. Can this be called a ‘good’ war if it delighted me?
Didn’t someone write a short story or parable or something called “The Good War”? I doubt it was fought with reams of paper, though!
wonderful take on the given prompt.
beautiful entree mmt.
Fighting over numbers! Can it sustain! Nicely MMT!

You have reminded me of the story that if one person makes 1,000 cranes a wish is to be granted.
