Mourning doves insist
that galaxies are fables,
trees alone are real.

~~ ~~ ~~

If the boat I love
sails beyond our galaxy—
oh, stop this fable!

~~ ~~ ~~

Only seven days
till this fragile galaxy
becomes a fable.

  1. How could I have stayed away from this oasis of yours for so long, MMT? Only you can turn denial, a dose of reality and religion into beautiful haiku…

  2. Galaxies, mourning doves and fables. Doesnt get much better than that!

  3. Pure poetry!! My eastern mourning dove knows a secret about the stars! Perhaps you can whisper it to your desert dove! 🙂 http://wabisabipoet.wordpress.com/2013/10/30/at-first-light/

  4. Galaxy, where no MMT dares to tread? Hope you go see Gravity. It’s awesome!

  5. the last one is scary…..great set 🙂

  6. yes get on the boat and stop the fable
    enjoyable set

  7. Now this is galactic..can trees and doves exist outside the galaxy..or love..seven days just isn’t enough to figure it out..may they all last forever..

  8. Celebrating a galactic event? Cheers.

  9. really nice; and what do cooing doves know of galaxies; SMILES

    much love…
