even a headstone
shares too much information
about the deceased

  1. Lol! This made me laugh! 🙂

  2. Never thought of that. I guess headstones are the social media for the deceased. This person must have liked green.

  3. I love the simplicity of this. The photo is wonderful.

  4. This haiku… is very, very true, and very very blue… in more ways than one!

  5. nice!!!

    have a good weekend

    much love…

  6. Cracked and old like the person beneath, perhaps?

  7. thank you for keeping the haiku fires burning in my absence. sadly since returning i have been severely ill and bed ridden. just now up since monday and trying to make a heartfelt visit with thanks and gratitude. xo

  8. Wonderful shot. cracked open, grounded and loved.. turning blue as the sky..the deceased.

  9. Odd how, they simultaneously fascinate and repel us, eh teacherman?

  10. A headstone is the headline to the story of a life. Blimey, that was very profound for me!

  11. Funeral parks, as my daughter has coined them, are far from my favorite places. But sometimes, intrigue happens.

  12. the photo is wonderful, but I’m the opposite because I am curious. My momma’s nickname for me was “Miss Probe.” As a kid, I thought that it was not a mean-spirited nickname but proof that i was curious, and isn’t that how many illnesses have been cured? just sayin’

  13. Nicely done! I was at a funeral this year where the headstone was an ols sewing machine encased in heavy plastic.

  14. too much perhaps, but historians salivate for more:)

  15. I’ve not seen a headstone quite like that before! Obviously someone who liked to stand out from the crowd. 🙂

  16. I always like to read inscriptions and think about the person. Thanks for playing today.

    Happy Blue Monday!

  17. Not sure just what your words mean…but, it’s a very cool photo. 🙂

  18. I like the share and your haiku too! I am not very worldly and I often wondered, even as a child, why doe people spend so much money for ornate grave markers when the deceased will never know it is there? Hmmmm…… A great blue share and always my pleasure to visit you here.

  19. I don’t think I have ever seen a blue marker at a cemetery… and certainly not one as large as this one.
