Three Prayers for Autumn
God of the kitchen,
may nothing dreadful emerge
from my bubbling pot.
~~ ~~ ~~
God of corn and wheat,
may harvests be abundant
on my little farm.
~~ ~~ ~~
God of stone and star,
may I not forget the ways
that you sustain me.

Holy and heart felt.
of stone and star… like that!
It is always good to be thankful for one’s blessings. Mind you I would hope nothing would come out of my cooking pot that I hadn’t put in there in the first place!
Beautiful! God of all, by the end–but along the way each image resonates.
Really lovely little poems on prayer.

The numerous prayers that are extended will be answered if one asks for them. It may not be immediate but one can feel the nice feelings when these arrive.
