Blackbird

This blackbird flies straight through the cloud.
By weather he will not be cowed.
In rain or in snow,
And when chill winds blow,
This blackbird remains quite unbowed.

Black birds have not been deterred here either. They have returned to their summer nesting territories.

  3. I would love to be this blackbird.

  4. I must repeat what others have said: I’d like to such a blackbird who doesn’t let clouds of life dampen his goals or mood. Sadly, I’m not.

  5. I LOVE a poem with blackbirds in it…..we have many of them here – both crows and ravens………..

  6. Very clover Love it No the birds know how to deal with the weather

  7. Love the rhyme in this, and love blackbirds. Lovely!!

  8. Everyone likes blackbirds because they are usually so friendly to us. One decided to build a nest in a back garden bush quite low to the ground. This worried me as we had no pets at the time and the next door cat would occasionally look over the fence. So the blackbird lost its first batch of eggs to the cat and chose a to nest high in a tree next time. She was never so friendly after that.
