If you have no star,
then wish upon a petal—
wee ones know it works.

  1. wow, those blooms are amazing. the colors beautiful!! ( :
    happy weekend.

  2. Nice. Yes, I had already linked, altho I thought she was going to be gone in December. No matter, the link was there anyway.

I probably got the dates wrong, but I just had this feeling that we would all miss each other if I didn’t say something! 😉

  3. Gorgeous photo and love the haiku ~ ‘tiny’ is most significant and we are all connected in nature ~ happy weekend to you ~ ^_^

  4. I love those flowers. I have several plants, but they are just now blooming a little. They do not like the Texas heat.

    • magicalmysticalteacher

It may be hotter in Algodones, Mexico than anywhere in Texas, so I’m surprised—and sorry—that your bougainvilleas are not doing well.

  5. Love that gorgeous pink. Bougainvilleas are such beautiful flowers. One of the things I miss from my days in California.

  6. I forgot that I had already been here and came back. Lucky I did because I saw your lovely photo in a new perspective. The bright bougainvillea capture instant attention, while your eye can then leisurely wander off into the distant surroundings. Love it! Growing up, we had a small front porch with bougainvillea climbing lattice all around. It was pretty and cottage looking, but beneath those gorgeous red flower-leaves…..thorns! Yikes.

    • magicalmysticalteacher

Ah, yes, the thorns—a parable of love and life, don’t you think? Thanks for your return visit, and for your thoughtful and thought-provoking comment. Much appreciated!

  7. thanks for your e-mail prompt

    much love…

  8. magnificent color, an ahh moment!

  9. Really? I didn’t know that! 😉
Loved the bright bougainvillea & that’s how I came here.

  10. I never thought of wishing upon a petal. Ok, I’ll try that.

  11. In these parts we wish upon a falling leaf when there is no star available. 🙂 I do love the internet. Now when it is cold and I am longing for some color, I’ll take a virtual tour of your desert flowers!

    • magicalmysticalteacher

Or when it’s cold and you’re longing for some color, you can peer into the mirror at your blizzard-blasted, cherry-red nose! 😉

  12. Oh how I wish I could grow bougainvillea here!!
