Blue Monday: Cross

Glendale Mem.Park.16 Jan.11 061 copy
An “old rugged cross,” Glendale Memorial Park, Glendale, Arizona.

Although the cross is rugged
And the grave is sere,
I come to visit often,
For my beloved’s here.

It’s not a chore to visit
Even when it’s hot,
For my beloved greets me
From his little plot.

  1. Wonderful composition.
    Thank you for hosting.

  2. A beautiful and unique, somehow, heartfelt cross. I hope you are having a good week.

  3. Interesting capture and thoughtful poem.

  4. Looks very much like a Celtic cross.

  5. Lovely sky shot with the Celtic cross juxtaposed against the sky ~ ^_^

    Happy Day to you,
    A ShutterBug Explores,

  6. What a powerful cross with hand lettering. My spanish is crummy, but it looks like someone “laid to rest at the age of 9 months”. Very sad.
